New Delhi: England has become the world champion once again. In the final match of T20 World Cup 2022, Pakistan had to face a crushing defeat from England. In the match played in Melbourne on Sunday, England won the toss and decided to bowl first. This decision of Captain Jose Butler proved to be absolutely correct and the English team did not allow Pakistan to score big.

Batters did not played up to the mark
Batting first, Pakistan scored 138 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Babar Azam 32, Mohammad Rizwan 15, Mohammad Harris 8, Shan Masood 38 and Iftikhar Ahmed were dismissed for a duck in the great match. Shadab Khan 20, Mohammad Nawaz 5 and Mohammad Wasim could score only 4 runs.
For England, Sam Curran took 3 wickets for 12 runs in 4 overs. Adil Rashid 2, Chris Jordan 2 and Ben Stokes managed to take one wicket. Questions are being raised on Pakistan’s poor batting in big matches. Captain Babar Azam has given a big statement on Pakistan’s crushing defeat.
Babar Azam gave this statement
After the match captain Babar Azam said, “We lost the first two matches, but the way we performed in the last four matches was commendable. On being asked what was the message that he gave before the match?
Babar said, “I told the players to play the match with Freedom, but I think we were 20 runs short. Babar further said- The way our team continued to fight in the match till the last, it is unbelievable.”

England won by 5 wickets
Ben Stokes became the hero of the game as he steadied the innings for England when it needed the most. Playing at unbeaten 52 runs, Stokes was helped by other players who were coming and returning on other end.
Jos Buttler made 26 runs while Harry Brook contributes with 20 runs. Moeen Ali gave a push at the end by hitting 3 fours in the last overs.
