Legendary CSK player MS Dhoni departed from the pitch prematurely following CSK’s defeat to RCB on Saturday, May 18. CSK was eliminated from the Indian Premier League after a 27-run loss to the Bengaluru side. After the match, MS Dhoni chose not to exchange handshakes with the RCB team, surprising the fans at M Chinnaswamy Stadium who were watching the game.
After yesterday’s game #Dhoni was not even ready to shake hands with RCB players. was fan of him but this is really not a cool behaviour for such a star and senior cricketer.

Dhoni, who was anticipated to retire following CSK’s loss in their final group-stage game, was disappointed with himself. Dhoni was dismissed on the second ball of the final over after smashing a 110-meter six off Yash Dayal. Batting aggressively at 25 runs from just 12 balls, Dhoni was caught at deep square leg, having top-edged a slower delivery from the RCB pacer.

Following CSK’s defeat, Dhoni initially approached the line where CSK players were lined up to shake hands with RCB players but decided against it and walked back instead. On his way back to the dressing room, Dhoni shook hands only with the RCB staff and then left the ground.
The RCB vs CSK match in the IPL 2024 season turned out to be a memorable encounter. CSK required just 17 runs to qualify for the playoffs in the final over, even if it meant losing the game, with the target being 35 from the last 6 balls. However, the trio of MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Shardul Thakur, who faced those 6 balls, failed to hit Yash Dayal for boundaries. Dayal conceded only 7 runs in the final over, securing an incredible win for the RCB side.
With the victory, RCB secured their spot in the IPL playoffs with 14 points to their credit.
