After registration, candidates are required to:
Complete a comprehensive application form, choosing a preferred host city and emphasizing skills and availability.
Pass a brief online test demonstrating enthusiasm for the tournament and detailing why they would make the ideal addition to the volunteer team.
Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to a face-to-face or group recruitment interview in the city of their preference, followed by a background examination. Once chosen, they will have designated jobs in primary sections such as stadium management, media coordination, fan services, or logistics, with training adapted to suit them prior to the tournament.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the program, applicants need to fulfill the following qualifications:
- Be aged at least 18 years on application (no maximum age).
- Be free to work at least eight shifts during the tournament (a few in advance of the formal start).
- Have a sound understanding of English. Spanish would be welcome for volunteer roles in Mexico and Canadian French would be an advantage for volunteers in Canada.
- Be legally qualified to volunteer within the host country.
