The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand. The ODI series is all set to start from January 5 at the Basin Reserve ground in Wellington. The Sri Lankan team will be led by Charith Asalanka and both teams took on each other in a three-match ODI series on Sri Lankan soil last month. The Sri Lankan team ended up winning the series by a margin of 2-0 and they will look to continue the performance this time as well.

Sri Lanka Announce ODI Squad Against New Zealand
Leg spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has returned to the team who missed the ODI series against the Kiwis back home last month due to hamstring injury. Dunith Wellalage who missed his spot in the T20I squad has returned for the ODIs. Players such as Sadeera Samarawickrama, Dushan Hemantha, Dilshan Madushanka, who were part of previous tour have been replaced by Lahiru Kumara, Eshan Malinga and Wanindu Hasaranga. The opening duo of Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis have been in fine touch from the past few time and the same reflected with their progress in the ICC ODI Rankings. They will be willing to continue their brilliant approach once again.
