Indian batter Virat Kohli is currently going through a rough patch in international cricket where he is being trolled due to his playing technique. Kohli who was part of the Team India squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Virat could only score 190 runs from nine innings of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 and got out on the fourth stump line in eight innings out of nine. Australian pacer Scott Boland was the bowler who troubled Virat in most games and ended up throwing up his wicket by giving a catch to the wicket-keeper and first slip.

Virat Kohli To Focus On County Cricket Ahead Of IND vs ENG Test Series
Following their loss in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Team India was also ruled out of the World Test Championship. Team India will be playing against England in the five-match Test series from June 20, 2025. Due to Virat Kohli’s poor performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he was trolled by the fans on social media and there were claims on social media that he would retire from Test cricket. However, it cannot be denied that Virat is one of the backbone of the Indian side and looking at his fitness in the present time, it doesn’t look like he will retire for almost four to five years.

Virat Kohli will look to make a strong comeback and for the same, he can move to England to play County Cricket ahead of the India vs England five-match Test series. A report has claimed that Virat can move to England to improve his fourth stump batting technique due to which he can sacrifice the IPL playoffs for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. If such happens, it won’t be good news for RCB if they make it to the playoffs of the IPL 2025.
