Rohit Sharma and Co are playing against Prime Minister’s XI in the pink ball practice match at the Manuka Oval ground in Canberra. The match is very essential for the side ahead of the day and night second Test match set to begin in Adelaide from December 6. The Indian team wrapped up the opposition for 240 runs in the first innings and need to chase down 241 runs in 46 runs. The two-day pink-ball practice match was just reduced to one day due to rain. The Indian bowlers displayed a brilliant bowling performance wherein Harshit Rana picked up a four-wicket haul whereas other bowlers as well tasted success apart from Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Virat Kohli Faces Jasprit Bumrah In Nets

Indian cricketers Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah were spotted practicing in the nets on the sidelines of the pink ball practice match. Kohli was facing Bumrah with the pink ball and prepared for the all-important second Test in Adelaide set to begin from December 6. The video for the same went viral on the social media. Bumrah single-handedly destroyed the Australian batting linuep by picking up eight wickets during the match followed by a brilliant hundred from Virat Kohli. Kohli returned back to form after a long time and achieved his first international hundred in the year 2024.

Team India will keep their heads high when they will take the field in Adelaide from December 6. However, the Indian team doesn’t have the best of memories at the Adelaide Oval as they got blown away for 36 runs when they played their last Test match at the venue. The Rohit Sharma led side needs to forget the previous performances and needs to focus on the present. The visitors have a brilliant momentum in the series and have put the Aussies under the pump.
