Indian cricketer Virat Kohli doesn’t need any introduction to what he has achieved in international cricket. The latter currently holds the record of the 81 centuries in international cricket which the second most by any cricketer after Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli is currently part of the India national cricket team on the tour of Australia in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 series. The five-match series is currently levelled at 1-1 with two-matches to play. Virat slammed a ton in the opening Test of the series but his bat has remained silent in the last two games.
Virat Kohli announced his retirement from T20Is after Team India’s historic success in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Kohli has always expressed his desire and love to play Test cricket and following his goodbye to shortest international format he is expected to do so in the upcoming years. In the past one year, Kohli has been witnessed visiting London quite often to meet his family members and his son Akaay was born in London as well. There were speculations that he has moved permanently to London along with his family.
Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma gave a green light to the speculations and stated that he is leaving India and will be living in London with his wife Anushka Sharma, daughter Vamika and son Akaay. In conversation with Dainik Jagran, Rajkumar Sharma said, “Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He is going to be leaving India and shifting very soon. However, right now, Kohli is spending most of his time with his family apart from cricket.”
Virat Kohli shifted from Delhi to Mumbai soon after his marriage and his move to UK shalln’t be a surprise for his fans.
