IND vs AUS: Virat Kohli, a global icon and one of India’s most beloved figures, is adored by cricket fans worldwide. As a cricketing genius, he has earned respect not only in India but across the globe. Even Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is a fan of Kohli’s batting.
Currently, India is set to play the Prime Minister’s XI in a day-night match at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. The Prime Minister’s XI, selected by Albanese, is taking on the visiting Indian team. Unfortunately, the match faced delays due to rain, and the toss was postponed. Before the game began, Albanese met with the Indian team, sharing a light-hearted moment with the players. However, it was his interaction with Kohli that grabbed the most attention.
Kohli and Albanese were seen engaged in a friendly, laughter-filled conversation, which seemed casual and fun.
“The prime minister can't take his eyes off Kohli, there are other players as well but he just wants to talk to Kohli, that's the aura Kohli has.”

Not The First Time Kohli And Albanese Share A Laugh
This isn’t the first time Kohli and Albanese have made headlines together. A few days earlier, when the entire Indian team met the Australian PM, Albanese jokingly asked Kohli not to torment them any further, referencing Kohli’s excellent record against Australia. Kohli, ever the witty responder, quipped, “You always gotta add some spice to it.”
Kohli Returns To His Favourite Hunting Ground, Adelaide Oval
For many cricketers, there is one ground where they feel most at home, and for Virat Kohli, that place is the Adelaide Oval. In 2011, Kohli scored his maiden Test century at this iconic venue, and in 2014, he notched up twin centuries in a near match-winning performance for India. In the 2020 day-night game, Kohli played a gritty knock of 70 before being run out. The former Indian captain also boasts an impressive white-ball record at Adelaide, including a century to his name.
