Paterson delivered a length ball outside the off-stump and Babar, moving for it, edged it to the second slip where Markram took the catch. The dismissal reminded fans of Virat Kohli, who has often been troubled by similar deliveries outside the off-stump, especially during India’s tour of Australia. Like Kohli, Babar’s unnecessary shot led to his downfall.
