Vinod Kambli: Good news has come for Vinod Kambli and his fans. A heartwarming video has emerged of the former cricketer, who was recently admitted to a hospital in Thane, dancing with the support of hospital staff. The video, showing Kambli—who played 17 Tests and 104 ODIs for India—has quickly gone viral on social media.
The 52-year-old cricketer had been suffering from a urinary infection and muscle cramps earlier this month, which led to his hospitalization at Aakriti Hospital in Kalher, Bhiwandi, on December 21. Unfortunately, medical tests later revealed that he had a blood clot in his brain.
Doctors caring for Kambli have shared that his condition is improving. In the video, you can see the hospital staff cheering him on as he dances to the iconic title song from Chak De! India. Earlier, another video of Kambli thanking his supporters also went viral, where he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the hospital director, Shailesh Thakur, for his help throughout his treatment.
However, his doctor has also mentioned that Kambli is dealing with some memory loss, and after his recovery, he may regain about 80-90% of his memory.

It’s also worth remembering that last month, another video of Kambli and his childhood friend, Sachin Tendulkar, went viral. The two met at the unveiling of a statue of their beloved coach, Ramakant Achrekar, on his birth anniversary at Shivaji Park. At the event, Kambli, looking frail and older than his years, was seen holding Tendulkar’s hand, a touching moment that resonated with fans.
