UPL T20 2025: Top‑5 Players to watch for Dehradun Warriors

All eyes are on their core group of performers - batters who can clear boundaries with ease and bowlers who can turn games in key moments.

UPL T20 2025: Dehradun Warriors are entering the 2025 season of the Uttarakhand Premier League with renewed ambition and a squad packed with firepower. After a promising first season, all eyes are on their core group of performers – batters who can clear boundaries with ease and bowlers who can turn games in key moments.

Here are five names that could decide how far the Warriors go this time:

Yuvraj Chaudhary (Icon Batter)

The young left‑hander exploded in UPL 2024. In just 5 matches he scored 322 runs at a jaw‑dropping average of 80.50, with a strike rate hovering around 193. His highest was a blistering 103 in the final, laced with 11 sixes and 5 fours. Yuvraj doesn’t just score – he murders momentum. If he stays in form, he can turn any chase or set a massive target. He also bowls slow left‑arm orthodox, which could become handy. IPL franchises have already taken notice.

Sanskar Rawat

Power and timing are his trademarks. In 4 innings in UPL 2024, Sanskar made 191 runs, averaging 47.75 with a strike rate over 160. His best knock, 80 off 41 balls, featured 5 fours and 7 sixes – pure carnage in the middle overs. For Dehradun, he’s critical when Yuvraj or others need support or if the top order falls early. He adds that solidity between raw aggression and controlled hitting.

Devendra Singh Bora

The bowler in this list, but one who matters deeply. With 8 wickets in 5 games last season, Bora showed his knack for breaking partnerships. His best: 3/32, and in one match he bowled 3 overs, 2 wickets for just 7 runs, an economy of about 2.33, rare in T20 contexts. With his average of 15.50 and strike rate – 11.4 balls per wicket, he’s the man who can give the Warriors crucial breakthroughs.

Mayank Mishra

Steady, dependable, and experienced. Mayank scored 210 runs last season and also took 8 wickets. His best figures with the ball were 3/28. As a left‑hand bat and slow left‑arm orthodox bowler, he brings balance. He can anchor an innings or provide a threatening spell in the middle overs. Warriors will depend on his maturity in pressure situations.

Aanjaneya Suryavanshi

A promising youngster with aggression. In UPL 2024, he played 4 matches, scoring 88 runs with a strike rate of 129. Though not headline numbers, his potential is clear. He has shown ability to bat freely, rotate strike, hit boundaries. If he gets more responsibility or a defined role (top/middle order), he could spring surprises and contribute key runs in tough chases.
