Uttarakhand Premier League 2024: Hurricanes Sweep Haridwar Away: Neeraj-Vijay Shine In Thrilling 4-Wicket Win

In the second match of the Uttarakhand Premier League 2024, Pithoragarh Hurricanes defeated Haridwar Spring Almas by four wickets on the strength of Neeraj Rathore and Vijay Sharma.

Uttarakhand Premier League 2024: Pithoragarh Hurricanes beat the Haridwar Spring Almas by four wickets. Neeraj Rathore is the chief architect of the success of Pithoragarh as he smashed 73 runs from 49 balls. Except for Neeraj Rathore, Vijay Sharma also contributed his bit as well towards the victory of the team by scoring 50 runs just in 22 balls through the last overs. He was also the man of the match for this excellent batting inning.

Haridwar Made 195 Runs In The First Innings

The match had Haridwar winning the toss and deciding to bat first. However, Pithoragarh replied strongly with 195 runs for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated overs. For his team, the captain, Ravi Kumar Samarth, played a fireworks inning of 60 runs in just 39 balls with three sixes and four fours. Besides him, Saurabh Chauhan remained unbeaten on 46 runs in just 15 balls.

Saurabh Rawat Made 31 Runs

Saurabh Rawat, who took his team to victory in the first match, today scored 31 runs off 19 balls and included three sixes. For Pithoragarh, five players including captain Akash Madhwal have taken one wicket each. Madhwal and Shivam Gupta are among them. Five have included Rohit Dangwal, Sunny Kashyap, and Aryan Chaudhary.

The Partnership between Neeraj Rathore-Vijay Sharma Did Wonders

Replying to the challenge of 196 runs by Haridwar, Aditya Neethni and Hitesh Nahula gave Pithoragarh a good start. Here Aditya could not even cross the single digit figure and was Prashant Bhati’s victim. In the first four wickets, the team lost within 13 overs and from here, the victory of the team seemed hard to pass. But from here Neeraj Rathore and Vijay Sharma laid the foundation of the victory of the team. By the strength of the batting of both, Pithoragarh reached the target by losing six wickets in 19.3 overs.
