Djokovic registered a dominating win – 6-7 (5/7), 6-3, 6-3, 6-1 and this was also his 75th third-round appearance at the Grand Slam which is also more than any other player in the history.
“One can always think that there is nothing more to achieve or to prove because you’ve done it all, but its quite relative,” he mentioned. “It’s quite individual the way you see it.”
Djokovic steadily found his rhythm as he had a struggling start in the opening set but made a solid comeback.
“It’s really about trying to make the most out of the day and win a tennis match, find a way to win,” said Djokovic. He further stated that “I’m not pleased with my level of tennis, but you have days like this…you just kind of find a way.”
