India’s Yuki Bhambri and his New Zealand partner Michael Venus have secured a place in men’s doubles semifinals of the US Open 2025 on Thursday. The Indo-Kiwi duo shocked the 11th seeded pair Nikola Mektic and Rajeev Ram with a dominant 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 victory on Court 17 in New York.

The achievement is also a significant milestone for Bhambri who last year reached the pre-quarter final at the US Open last year with Frenchman Albano Olivetti.
Earlier, Bhambri and Venus defeated Colombia’s Gonzalo Escobar and Mexico’s -, Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela – 6-1, 7-5 in just 85 minutes. In round of 16, the duo faced Nikola Mektic and Rajeev Ram but overpowered them very easily and returned to seal their place in the last four.
