Major League Cricket 2023: The inaugural season of the United States’ T20 cricket league, the Major League Cricket, will begin in July 2023. The competition will include six clubs in its inaugural season.
The inaugural game of the season will take place on July 13, 2023, at Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas.
In its maiden season, 19 matches will be contested in 18 days, with the final match of the league taking place on July 30.
Interestingly, the Indian Premier League franchises will own four out of the six teams in this competition.
The four IPL franchises which will own the teams in the Major League Cricket are Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Delhi Capitals.
The first IPL franchise to invest in the league was KKR. KKR had purchased the Los Angeles club that was competing in the event.
In addition, Mumbai Indians purchased the New York franchise; Chennai Super Kings purchased the Dallas franchise, Team Texas.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals, in collaboration with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, purchased the Seattle Orcas.

MLC 2023 tournament to feature these six teams
- Los Angeles Knight Riders
- MI New York
- San Francisco Unicorn
- Seattle Orcas
- Team Texas
- Washington Freedom
All of the teams in the competition will have 9 local players on their roster, with the remaining foreign players joining the team.

MLC 2023 to feature almost 100 players
League cricket is growing by the day. The first T20 cricket league, known as the IPL, was established in India, and there are now other leagues throughout the world.
In fact, more than 100 players were drafted for the Major League Cricket’s inaugural season. Supporters appear to be quite enthused about the league’s inaugural season.
