In the opening game of the second season on August 25, the defending champions Kashi Rudras took on the 2023 finalists, Meerut Mavericks in which the Mavericks won. Joining the fray this season are the Noida Super Kings, Lucknow Falcons, Kanpur Superstars, and Gorakhpur Lions.
In the UP T20 2024 league, all six teams will compete against each other twice, both home and away, resulting in a total of 10 matches per team. The top two teams at the end of the league stage will advance to Qualifier 1, while the third and fourth-placed teams will compete in Eliminator 1. The victor of Qualifier 1 will earn a spot in the final, while the defeated team will have another chance to reach the final by facing the winner of Eliminator 1. The league stage will wrap up on September 9.
