Zeeshan Ansari, a talented player from the city of Nawabs, Lucknow, bats right-handed and bowls leg break googly. He has played for Uttar Pradesh and India Under-19. Zeeshan has taken 17 wickets in 5 first-class matches. Zeeshan made his first-class debut for UP in the Ranji Trophy on October 6, 2017.
He has been UP’s star player in the Ranji Trophy 2019-20. Earlier, he was part of the Indian team for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2016. Zeeshan has also contributed with the bat. In 2015, he contributed with the bat by scoring 34 runs against Bangladesh in the Tri-Nation Under-19 Tournament.

Zeeshan’s father Naeem Ansari used to run a tailoring shop at Lucknow’s IT crossing. Zeeshan has fulfilled his passion while battling financial difficulties. He has been adept at the art of spinning the ball since childhood. His coach Gopal Singh helped him fulfill this passion by teaching him the skill of googly. Zeeshan used to watch Shane Warne’s videos on YouTube. Now he is seen bowling like him. Recently, Zeeshan created a stir by taking 5 wickets against Kanpur Superstars. He took 5 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs. Currently, he is the Purple Cap holder.
