American wearable technology company WHOOP has been in the news a lot recently.
Especially after ICC World Cup 2023 where Team India star batter Virat Kohli wore the WHOOP Fitness tracker band in the semi-final match.
This fitness tracker is used not only by Virat Kohli but also by other big players. Players like Mohammed Siraj was also seen sporting the fitness band during Team India’s ODI World Cup campaign.
Fitness bands are a common sighting in global sports nowadays with the athletes trying to get every single detail about their body while they are in action. This helps the athlete to understand their body better and improve any facet of their fitness accordingly.

The company also released some methods users can use for better recovery. This includes red light therapy, change in alcohol habits and many other things.
The body gets tired after any workout. An athlete requires some time for the recovery in order to produce consistent performances.
According to WHOOP, for better recovery people should take ice baths and stay away from alcohol.
Apart from this, red light therapy is also used. The company said that stress also has an adverse effect on recovery. Due to stress, recovery of an athlete can be delayed to some extent.
The company also said that people are not focusing on getting sufficient sleep which is one of the most helpful ways to improve recovery.
