On Tuesday Jadon Sancho officially stated that he would be leaving Chelsea as his year long loan there is completing. Chealsea could not agree with the former England International star on personal contract detailes for a permanent transfer. It will cost Chelsea £5 million ($6.7 million) to end their loan agreement early, since the deal with United involved an arrangement to buy Sancho for around £25m. Chelsea indicated to Sancho that he should accept a pay cut of over £300k-a-week to make his salary fit with their level at the club, but no deal was reached in negotiations.

Jadon Sancho’s Performance In Chelsea
Jadon Sancho was influential during the 2024-25 Premeir League season, but started just a few matches for Chelsea. He was less involved in the team during the first matches but from matchday 4 he got more playing time and scored vital goals against West Ham, Southampton and Ipswich. Sancho gave notice of his abilities with some assists and by playing well in a series of cameos such as when Chelsea won 3-1 against Liverpool. Health issues and the way he was used in games meant his minutes changed, but he still made 30 league appearances, scoring 4 goals and assisting once. Due to his leadership, Chelsea completed the season in the top five, showing his rising role at the club.
