Cricket Australia’s New CEO: Todd Greenberg has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cricket Australia, set to take over from Nick Hockley when he steps down at the end of the summer.
A Strong Candidate With Extensive Experience
Greenberg, currently the CEO of the Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) and former CEO of the National Rugby League (NRL), has long been seen as the frontrunner for the role. His background in both cricket and rugby, along with his leadership experience, makes him a well-rounded choice. Greenberg has strong relationships with players through his role at the ACA, and he also has personal cricket experience, having played first-grade cricket in New South Wales.
His previous roles as NRL CEO and General Manager of Stadium Australia have equipped him with vast experience in managing broadcast partners, sponsors, stadia, and live events.

Key Contributions And Vision For The Future
Greenberg has been instrumental in recent agreements, including the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Cricket Australia and the ACA. He also joined Hockley on the 2022 tour to Pakistan, which marked Australia’s first visit there to play international cricket since 1998.
Cricket Australia Chairman Mike Baird expressed his enthusiasm for Greenberg’s appointment, highlighting his leadership skills, commercial success, and innovative ideas such as bringing the NRL State of Origin to Melbourne and launching the NRLW. Baird believes Greenberg’s experience will help continue the growth of the game and capitalize on future opportunities.

Baird also took the opportunity to thank Nick Hockley for his contributions to Cricket Australia, noting the solid foundation he leaves behind, including a successful broadcast rights deal and a seven-year content strategy.
