The Brentford boss Thomas Frank will be coming to Tottenham, as he has agreed to succeed Ange Postecoglou. Postecoglou was dismissed by Spurs on Friday just 16 days after guiding the team to victory in the Europa League. Despite the success in Europe, Levy recognized that Tottenham was having trouble in the league and made the decision to sack Postecoglou. In the previous season, Spurs came in 17th place, which is just one spot above the relegation line, and lost 22 games of the 38 they played.

“Ange will always be remembered as only the third manager in our history to deliver a European trophy, alongside legendary figures Bill Nicholson and Keith Burkinshaw,” the club said in a statement. “However, the Board has unanimously concluded that it is in the best interests of the Club for a change to take place.
“Following a positive start in the 2023/24 Premier League (PL) season, we recorded 78 points from the last 66 PL games. This culminated in our worst-ever PL finish last season. At times there were extenuating circumstances – injuries and then a decision to prioritise our European campaign.
“Whilst winning the Europa League this season ranks as one of the Club’s greatest moments, we cannot base our decision on emotions aligned to this triumph. It is crucial that we are able to compete on multiple fronts and believe a change of approach will give us the strongest chance for the coming season and beyond.”

As the manager, he has been involved in 317 games for Brentford FC since October 2018 and is expected to leave by June 30, winning 136, drawing 71, and losing 110. Previously, he worked as Dean Smith’s assistant manager for the team. Over nearly three years, Frank led Bröndby IF, coming away with 46 wins out of 103 games. His first roles were managing the U16, U17, and U19 national teams for Denmark and he had remarkable achievements, especially with the U17s, winning 8 out of 11 matches. He first started working as a coach with B.93 II and Lyngby BK Youth.
