RCB chased done 228 against LSG and completed the season with a spot among the top two. RCB captain Jitesh Sharma blasted 85 runs off just 33 balls which eclipsed Rishabh Pant's wonderful century for LSG.

Rishabh Pant was looking to make the best of his earky runs since he could not in his previous matches in IPL, when he scored an unbeaten 118 off 61 balls against RCB. Despite his century, LSG could not win the match. The bowling attack for LSG struggled, as Will O’Rourke and Shahbaz Ahmed conceded a total of 113 runs from seven overs. An unforced error by Gowtham, a no-ball off Digvesh Rathi that helped Sharma remain in the game and other sloppy moves in the field, together took away LSG’s early edge.

Rishabh Pant’s Statment

“Eventually you’ve got to play 40 overs of good cricket. Twenty overs aren’t going to save you. I was feeling well with each and every match. But sometimes it just doesn’t come off. Whenever you get a start, try to make it as big as possible. I was trying to play the field – how they were going to bowl Just playing through the line. Just kept on playing with the same intensity throughout the innings. There will be lot of areas where we will be talking. But the season is just ending. Just want to switch off for a few days. The way our batting unit has come up, there have been some special bowling performances also. We’ve been getting chances, but we haven’t been able to maintain. That is costing us the match.”
