Team India in a dominating position
With Team India’s lead crossing 300 runs, the visitors are in a dominating position in the ongoing Perth Test. The foundation of India’s second innings was set by openers Jaiswal and KL Rahul who stitched 201-run partnership for the first wicket. Rahul got dismissed by Mitchell Starc after scoring 77 off 176 balls.
India’s No.3 Devdutt Padikkal then built a 74-run partnership with Jaiswal. Padikkal was caught in the slips off Hazlewood’s bowling after scoring 25 off 71 balls.
Till the time of this report, Jaiswal has completed 150 runs. This is his fourth 150-plus score in Test cricket. 22-year-old Jaiswal has thus joined Don Bradman(8), Javed Miandad (4), Greame Smith(4) and Sachin Tendulkar (4) for having most 150-plus scores before turning 23.
