After winning India’s 2nd T20 World Cup title together as a team, Mumbai Indians and Indian teammates Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah are pitted against one another for winning the ICC Player of the month award for the month of June. With Jasprit Bumrah winning the player of the tournament in the recently held T20 World Cup, chances of him being the winner are more likely.
ICC have nominated Rohit, Jasprit Bumrah and Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz for the honour. Both Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have been phenomenal for Team India over the month with bat and ball respectively. Rahmanulah Gurbaz on the other hand was one of the most influential players for Afghanistan in their road to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.
