T20 World Cup 2026, Australia Full Schedule: The countdown to the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup officially kicked off yesterday night when big names like Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Harmanpreet Kaur were there to reveal the full fixtures along with ICC president Jay Shah.
The 2020 champions Australia will enter the tournament as one of the favourites and will eye for another coveted trophy under their belt. With the schedule drop, the focus now shifts to how to beat the world’s best teams and which cities will they play to stage the biggest moments.

The matches and groups were unveiled at a gala event in Mumbai led by ICC Chairman @JayShah, and with new tournament ambassador @ImRo45 and Indian team captains @surya_14kumar and Harmanpreet Kaur in attendance.

T20 World Cup 2026 – Team Australia Full Schedule:
Australia’s quest for another title will begin in Sri Lanka. Australia have been placed alongside co-hosts Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Oman in Group B with all the pool’s preliminary matches to be played in Sri Lanka.
T20 World Cup 2026 – Date and Time
Australia kick-off their tournament against Ireland in Colombo on February 11, against Zimbabwe on February 13. Aussies will lock horns against the co-hosts Sri Lanka on February 16 and end their league stage against Oman on February 20.

Australia will play all their league games at R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Australian selectors have yet to announce the squad.
Tournament Format and Teams Locked In
Most of the framework is already in place. The event will follow the now-familiar 20-team structure: four groups of five, followed by a Super-8 stage, then the semi-finals and final. The line-up is set too, with cricket’s traditional heavyweights – India, Pakistan, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Bangladesh joined by fast-rising teams like Nepal, Oman, the UAE and Italy.
