The Super 8 stage of the 2024 T20 World Cup is set to begin on June 19, with seven out of eight teams already confirmed. On June 24, emotions will run high as India faces Australia in a rematch of the 2023 World Cup Final.
India qualified by topping Group A, winning three matches, with their last game being washed out. Bangladesh is expected to secure the final spot in the Super 8, with the Netherlands having an outside chance.

India will move from the USA to the West Indies for the Super 8 stage, with all three of their games being held in the Caribbean. India’s first Super 8 match will be against Afghanistan on Thursday, June 20.

Super 8 Format
The two Super 8 groups were pre-determined based on a seeding format for the top 8 teams in the rankings before the tournament. With the eliminations of Pakistan, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka, their seeding spots will be taken by USA (A2), Afghanistan (C1), and Bangladesh/Netherlands (D2).
This seeding format was designed to help traveling fans plan for potential matches in the later stages of the tournament. The top two teams from each Super 8 group will advance to the semi-finals.
