Team India Begin T20 World Cup preparations
India arrived in the USA on May 26 and have since been engaged in several practice sessions to prepare for the competition. While all the Indian squad members are present, star batter Virat Kohli has yet to join the team and his participation in the warm-up game remains uncertain.
Bangladesh, meanwhile, had their first warm-up game against the US washed out. They have also faced a setback leading into the event, suffering a 1-2 series loss to the US—a historic win for the latter against a full-member nation.
Despite being a warm-up match, this contest is expected to be thrilling, given the recent competitive encounters between the two sides. India and Bangladesh have developed a notable rivalry, featuring several memorable matches over the years. Historically, India has dominated, winning 12 of the 13 matches between the teams. However, recent games have been closely contested, the most notable being the 2016 T20 World Cup match where India secured a one-run victory in a dramatic finish.
