After securing their spot in the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup, Team India is set to face Canada in their final Group A match on Saturday in Florida. However, the Indian team had to cancel their practice session at the Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale due to rain. The city has been experiencing heavy rain and severe flooding in recent days.

On Friday, the USA is scheduled to play against Ireland, with hopes of qualifying for the next round. If the match is washed out, both teams will receive one point each. This scenario would allow the USA to advance, resulting in Pakistan’s elimination from the tournament. A draw would bring the USA to five points, and even if Pakistan wins their final game against Ireland, they can only reach four points. Only the top two teams from each group progress to the next round.

Fort Lauderdale is set to host the final Group A matches, including India’s game against Canada on Saturday. However, due to the recent extreme weather, there is a high likelihood that all matches could be washed out.

Meanwhile, India is confirmed to advance to the next stage of the tournament and will play against Australia at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia on June 24.

It has been reported that Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan will return to India after the final group game against Canada. Both are part of the traveling reserves. The other two reserves, Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed, will remain with the Indian team.
