T20 World Cup 2024: 7 Teams Confirmed For Super 8s, Fierce Battle For 8th Spot Between 2 Teams, Who Will Make the Entry?

In Group D, South Africa has already secured their place in the Super 8, while Nepal is no longer in contention. Bangladesh has a better chance of advancing to the Super 8 from Group D.

New Delhi. The T20 World Cup 2024 is being hosted by America and West Indies. A total of 7 teams have confirmed their place for the Super 8. These teams are America, India, West Indies, England, Australia, South Africa, and Afghanistan. Now, the question is which two teams are competing for the 8th spot? Bangladesh and the Netherlands are fighting it out for the 8th place. It remains to be seen which team will secure a spot in the Super 8.

From Group D, South Africa has secured a place in the Super 8 of the T20 World Cup 2024. Nepal no longer has a chance to reach the Super 8. Bangladesh has a higher chance of reaching the Super 8 from Group D. Netherlands currently has 2 points and they can still secure a place in the Super 8 by reaching up to 4 points. However, they will need to defeat Sri Lanka by a significant margin for this to happen.

If Netherlands defeat Sri Lanka by a significant margin, their fate will be in Nepal’s hands. If Nepal defeats Bangladesh, then the Netherlands team will qualify for the Super 8. However, if Bangladesh defeats Nepal, they will reach the Super 8 and the Netherlands will also qualify for the Super 8.
