India win 2007 World Cup: On this date in 2007, India had marked a memorable win against Pakistan to win the T20 World Cup under the leadership of cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

The trophy beautiful in the hands of the Men in Blue, however, the road to success wasn’t an easy. India had shown their impeccable preparation from the group stage only as they first mark win against Scotland in Group D and then faced their arch-rivals Pakistan.

India vs Pakistan moves in Tie-Breaker

Both the teams were fuelled with confidence and competitive emotions as they end the game in a tie. India had got 141 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs while Pakistan also finished their innings at same run as Misbah-ul-Haq got run out on last ball. 

The match headed into a bowl-out and Indian bowlers played like the best bowlers of the world.  Virender SehwagHarbhajan Singh and Robin Uthappa managed to score in the very first three bowls and their opponents missed all the chances.

Most Memorable Super Over

The Super over between India and Pakistan is registered as one of the most memorable and iconic moments in the history of cricket for India as they not only won the game and moved ahead in the table, they also gave out a statement of being the best. 

Later, India and Pakistan had met again in the tournament and this time, it was the finals. Choosing to bat first, India made 157 runs but defended it successfully when Pakistan was all out for 153 runs.
