Karnataka outplayed Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu’s chase never took off, as the side was bundled out for just 100. Six of their batters failed to reach double figures, and captain Varun Chakravarthy departed for a first-ball duck. Karnataka’s bowlers were ruthless, with Praveen Dubey and Shreyas Gopal picking up three wickets each, while Vijaykumar Vyshak and Shubhang Hegde chipped in with two apiece.
Karun Nair failed to capitalize
Padikkal, 25, was born in Kerala before his family moved to Hyderabad and later settled in Bengaluru. His father hails from Nilambur and his mother from Edappal. Meanwhile, Karun Nair also part of the Karnataka squad had an off day, scoring just 4 after hitting a half-century in the previous match against Rajasthan. Karnataka now sit with two wins and two losses from their first four games, having suffered a heartbreaking one-run defeat to Rajasthan last week while chasing 201.
