Suryakumar Yadav in Ranji Trophy 2024-25: Many star players of Team India are participating in domestic cricket these days. After Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, now ‘360 degree’ player Suryakumar Yadav will also be seen playing in the Ranji Trophy. Suryakumar Yadav has been included in the Mumbai team for the Ranji Trophy quarter-final match against Haryana starting on Saturday, February 8.
Along with Indian T20 captain Surya, star all-rounder Shivam Dubey will also be seen showing his talent in Ranji Trophy for Mumbai. Both these players were part of the Indian team in the recently concluded 5-match T20 series against England.
Suryakumar Yadav returns to Ranji Trophy
Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) recently announced its 18-member team for the Ranji Trophy quarter-final match against Haryana. Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dubey have also been included in the Mumbai team led by Ajinkya Rahane. Surya last played a Ranji match for Mumbai against Maharashtra in October 2024, in which he scored 7 runs. While Dubey was part of the match played against Jammu and Kashmir.

This match will be played from February 8 at the Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli, Rohtak. Let us tell you that Shreyas Iyer, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal will not play in this match as they will be busy in the three-match ODI series between India and England starting from February 6.
Surya would like to return to form
Like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav will also enter the Ranji Trophy with the intention of regaining his form. Suryakumar, who has made a splash in T20 cricket, has been seen struggling a lot in red ball cricket. His recent performance has also been quite disappointing. Surya could score only 28 runs in five matches against England at an average of 5.6. Surya has been able to score only 66 runs in the last 10 innings for India and Mumbai.
