The Indian team leads the series by a margin of 1-0 and will look forward on extending their led. Both the team are gearing for the all-important day-night Test at the Adelaide Oval and would look forward to win the match. The Indian playing XI looks all-sorted as mostly all the players performed in the first Test followed by the practice match against Prime Minister’s XI. Ravichandran Ashwin, who has been among India’s lead spinners from a long time and has also performed in overseas countries, wasn’t given chance in the first Test played in Perth.

Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon was surprised after R Ashwin’s exclusion from Team India’s playing XI in the first Test. Lyon has been a constant part of the side in the Australia and the latter has emerged among the top spinners in the world in the modern-day era. He said while speaking in press-conference as quoted by India Today, “More than surprises me. But the quality of Indian cricketers that they got in that squad, don’t they? You’ve got Ashwin and 530 odd wickets and then you got Ravindra Jadeja over 300 wickets or whatever it may be. So it’s pretty remarkable to see the quality of player tha are sitting on the bench. But I can’t control with who they run out, but it would be a good challenge, no matter who they bring out.”
