Former England captain Jos Buttler expressed his excitement of playing along young Indian batter Shubman Gill in the IPL 2025 edition. Buttler called Gill, the ‘Superstar of Indian Cricket’. Both the players will be playing for the Gujarat Titans in this IPL. Buttler was part of the Rajasthan Royals for the past 7 seasons of IPL but was not retained by them. Gujarat Titans seized the opportunity to acquire an overseas experienced player in this year’s mega auction.

Buttler had an impressive career with the Rajasthan Royals and was picked by them in the 2018 auction. He was not retained by RR in this mega auction while the GT acquired him for 15.75 cr.
