Sunil Gavaskar Draws Similarity Between KL Rahul And Murali Vijay Technique
Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar heaped praise for KL Rahul and stated that the right-handed Indian batter reminds him of former Indian opener Murali Vijay. Gavaskar also added that Rahul left the deliveries outside the off-stump really well which was similar to Marnus Labuschagne. He said, “KL Rahul left deliveries very close to the off-stump so consistently that it reminded me of Marnus Labuschagne yesterday and, before him, Murali Vijay, who also had exceptional off-side judgment. Except for the first ball today, where he slightly followed the delivery, his judgment outside off-stump was fantastic.”

KL Rahul didn’t face any trouble from any Australian bowler and Australian batter Steve Smith took a blinder catch to get him out off Nathan Lyon. However, just ahead of the series, Rahul wasn’t in decent touch due to which he was facing a lot of criticism. The latter will look to continue his brilliant performance in the upcoming matches of the BGT 2024-25 series.
