Australian batter Steve Smith showcased his immense class in the red-ball format and slammed his 34th century in Test cricket during the IND vs AUS 4th Test. Smith reached the three-figure mark on the 167th delivery and smashed a boundary off Nitish Kumar Reddy. The latter became the first batter to slam 11 hundreds against India in Test cricket and became the fastest player to achieve the feat as well. Steve Smith made his intentions very clear from the first ball ever since he came out to bat on Day 2 of IND vs AUS 4th Test. The latter shifted gears from Day 1 and took on the Indian bowlers from the first ball of the day. The Indian bowlers also bowled some poor lines against both Steve Smith and Pat Cummins. This put the pressure back on the Indian team and no other Indian bowler apart from Jasprit Bumrah was able to build pressure back on the Australian team.
