Australian batter Steve Smith smashed his 34th Test century during the IND vs AUS 4th Test being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The latter reached the three-figure mark in 167 balls and played an innings of 140 runs. Smith smashed 13 fours and three sixes during his stay. The latter played an important role in helping the Aussies more than 100 runs in the first session of IND vs AUS 4th Test Day 2 and put pressure back on the Indian bowlers. Smith was dismissed by Indian pacer Akash Deep.

Steve Smith took an aggressive approach from the first ball of Day 2 in IND vs AUS 4th Test. The latter stepped down the wicket against fast bowlers and hit them for boundaries. In an attempt at another boundary, Smith tried to step out against Akash Deep in an attempt to hit the bowler for a boundary. However, this time the Australian batter wasn’t lucky enough and as he got cleaned up by the Indian bowler. The ball pitched on the good length and took the edge of Smith’s bat. Later, it went onto hit the stumps as the Australian batter didn’t turn back to stop the ball. The video for the same went viral on the social media.
Australia stretched their score of 311/6 to 454/7 after the first session on Day 2 of IND vs AUS 4th Test. Australian batters Steve Smith and Pat Cummins added 113 runs for the seventh wicket which put back the pressure on the Indian team once again. The Indian team will look to strike back and take the remaining wickets in the session after Lunch.
