The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) started on March 22, 2025 at the Eden Gardens with the first match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The tournament will feature 10 teams with the final being scheduled on May 25, 2025. The second match is being played between the previous year’s finalists, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and the 1st runners-up of IPL 2024 Rajasthan Royals led by young Sanju Samson.
