Mumbai Indians claimed victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets during their IPL match held at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Wednesday. Sunrisers Hyderabad started their batting innings with a disastrous performance because they made a poor selection by choosing to bat first, which resulted in losing their wickets at a rate of 35/5 while their batters hit impulsive shots. The pair of Heinrich Klaasen and Abhinav Manohar pulled the Sunrisers Hyderabad innings forward but managed to reach just 143 runs that failed to match the demanding conditions of the batting pitch.
The chase progressed in an approved and professional manner for Mumbai. After the early dismissal of Phil Salt, Rohit Sharma rebuilt his form to score 70 runs from 46 balls with a combination of 8 fours and 3 sixes. Before teaming up with Suryakumar Yadav to close the match, Will Jacks delivered an early run scoring period.
The wicket Eshan Malinga obtained from Rohit could not stop Mumbai from finishing their chase in 4.2 overs early. The victory marks the second time Mumbai defeats Sunrisers in the season as the Hyderabad team maintains its prone state through another losing effort.
