A woman was spotted smiling at Jasprit Bumrah, who was seemingly wearing the team management t-shirt. Reportedly, the woman’s name is Yasmin Badiani. She is currently working with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). She is part of the operations team of the ECB. A member from the host country’s cricket governing body (which is the ECB in this case) provides the visitors with a member from their team to guide and update them about the schedule. Badiani might be the allotted member from the ECB to Team India.

Badiani is currently working in Cricket Team Operations with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), where they help manage and support the national cricket team’s activities. Before this, she was the Head of Sport at Phizz Ltd, where she focused on sports performance and helped athletes stay healthy and hydrated. She also worked as Head of O.R.S Sport at Clinova Limited, where she promoted sports hydration products and worked closely with sports teams.
Earlier in her career, she was a Physiotherapist at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, treating patients and helping them recover from injuries. At the same time, she worked as a Sports Physiotherapist for Leicester City Football Club, providing support to the academy players during training and matches. She also gained experience with Loughborough Dynamo FC, working as a Sports Physiotherapist and helping players stay fit and injury-free.
Why Bumrah Was Omitted?
India’s star bowler and world number 1 in Tests, Jasprit Bumrah, is currently benched for the 2nd match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, which is being played at Edgbaston, Birmingham. After the toss, Shubman Gill, the captain for the Indian side, revealed the omission of star bowlers from the playing XI. He said that Bumrah is being reserved for the Lord’s Test match, which is the third contest of the series, to manage his workload. He would be needed more for the Lord’s Test as it would be a crucial contest. Bumrah sustained a back injury in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 during the Sydney Test.
