New Delhi: India bowler Jasprit Bumrah recently suffered a back injury and reports suggested that he will not be playing in the T20 World Cup. It can be a big blow to the national team in the mega event but BCCI president Sourav Ganguly may have a good news for the fans.

“Finger Crossed” –  Sourav Ganguly

Ganguly was quoted as saying by RevSportz, there is still a lot of time left in the World Cup and nothing should be said before the exact time.

“Bumrah is not out of the World Cup yet. We’ve got fingers crossed. Don’t rule him out yet, said Jasprit Bumrah.

Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of India vs South series

Earlier, ahead of the first T20I between India and South Africa in Thiruvananthapuram, BCCI ruled out Bumrah from Wednesday’s match after he complained of back pain during the practice session. Now, he has been ruled out of the series against South Africa. Mohammad Siraj has been taken in his place in the team.

Medical Team to take decision

A report in InsideSport said that the medical team will decide on Bumrah’s availability for the T20 World Cup. As soon as he complained of back pain, he was withdrawn from practice. The medical team is monitoring them. Back injuries are tough, but he hasn’t been out of the World Cup yet.
