Mandhana started very well by scoring consecutive hundreds and thus led India to a 3-0 whitewash over South Africa in June. She came good again with an innings-winning century against New Zealand in the decider in October. Her last act was of defiance in Perth when, for all practical purposes, she proved her class as she went on to score a hundred despite the loss.
