Pandya brothers failed to create an impact

Krunal Pandya’s efforts with the bat were commendable, but was unable to put a more imposing total. With the ball too he could he could not create much impact, Hardik bowled four overs, giving away 29 runs and taking one wicket, while Krunal Pandya also bowled three economical overs, conceding just 15 runs, though he could not claim a wicket. Mumbai’s Response

Mumbai chased down the target with ease, reaching 164/4 in 19.2 overs. Ajinkya Rahane led the charge with a brilliant knock of 98 runs off 56 balls, falling just short of a potential century. His innings was the backbone of Mumbai’s runchase, with Shreyas Iyer supporting him with a quickfire 46 from 30 balls. Although Mumbai too faced some major bumps with Prithvi Shaw (8 off 9 balls) and Suryakumar Yadav (1 off 7 balls) failing to contribute significantly, Rahane and Iyer steadied the ship. Shegde, in particular, was impressive with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 11 runs in his two overs.

Mumbai’s commanding performance, led by Rahane’s brilliant knock, was enough to seal a comfortable win and propel them into the final, where they will look to continue their fine form.
