With the T20 World Cup all done and dusted, the Indian cricket team will take on Zimbabwe in a 5-match T20I series with Shubman Gill leading a young set of individuals. Shubman Gill is set to play for the first time after the Indian Premier league where he led Gujarat Titans after the departure of Hardik Pandya.

With new stars set to feature for India, Shubman confirmed that his friend and teammate Abhishek Sharma will be opening alongside him in the 1st T20I. The squad for the Zimbabwe mostly constitutes of young players who starred for their respectively franchises in IPL 2024.

Rinku Singh, who failed to make it to the final 15 of the T20 World Cup squad will also feature for Team India as he looks to cement his place into the eleven for future tournaments to come. Rajasthan Royals star batter Riyan Parag is also set to make his debut against Zimbabwe on Saturday and will look to impress after a good showing in the IPL this year. IPL winner and KKR pacer Harshit Rana has also been added to the squad for the first 2 T20Is in what promises to be a very good opportunity for the youngsters.
