The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is the biggest debate the cricket fraternity at the current time. While BCCI have already refused from playing the tournament in Pakistan whereas the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are firm on their stance to host the tournament in the country itself. Champions Trophy is being held for the first time after a gap of seven years. As there is conflict regarding Team India’s participation in the tournament, ICC is yet to release the schedule of the tournament.

Amidst all the chaos, former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar shared a cryptic post on his official ‘X’ handle. Akhtar captioned the post, “Landed back in Pakistan to this beauty. Champions Trophy in the house!!.” Shoaib has been among the most legendary cricketers in world cricket and has a lot of services from Pakistan. Shoaib has always been behind the cricketing relations of India and Pakistan. However, due to the disputed international relations between both the countries, they don’t play bilateral series with each other and only participate in ICC tournaments.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to be held in Pakistan from February and March. Champions Trophy has been among the most hyped tournaments so far ever since the hosting rights were given to Pakistan. While, international cricket didn’t take place in the country until 2015 after the Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked by the terrorists in 2009. While many teams have come toured Pakistan to play international cricket in Pakistan, BCCI is yet to tour the country for a bilateral series. However, BCCI is among the most influential boards in international cricket due a delay is being expected in the schedule of the Champions Trophy.
