Team India is gearing up to start its World Cup journey on June 5, with the first match against Ireland at Nassau Stadium. With five matches already played in the tournament, new teams have delivered surprising performances. Therefore, Team India won’t take Ireland lightly. However, one of Team India’s key players might be dropped for the match against Ireland. As India aims to win all of its matches in the league stage, they would be looking for each and every player to fire on all cylinders in the coming few weeks.

Shivam Dube in last 6 innings

1. 14 runs
2. 7 runs
3. 18 runs
4. 21 runs
5. 0
6. 0

Shivam Dube, who performed excellently for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024, was included in Team India for the World Cup. Unfortunately, Dube’s performance has declined since then. He hasn’t had a significant innings in his last six attempts. In the warm-up match against Bangladesh, Dube only managed 14 runs but did take 2 wickets while bowling. Team India aims to win all its group matches and doesn’t want to appear weak against any team. If Dube is included in the playing eleven in his current form, the middle order might appear somewhat vulnerable.

Except for the last few matches, Dube had a stellar season in IPL 2024, scoring 396 runs in 14 matches with an impressive strike rate of 173 for CSK.
