Queensland’s Final Hopes Hang In The Balance After Draw Against South Australia

Both South Australia and Queensland lost their chances for victory by day four’s afternoon because Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne accepted a draw when Jason Sangha hit his century. The South Australian team declared on 614 for 7 in their first inning before scoring 252 for 5 in their second inning to bowl out Queensland for 370 yet ran out of time ahead of a possible victory. The drawn match has given Queensland limited chances for further competition because New South Wales must fail to catch up with 529 while Western Australia must avoid winning either the current game or the next one to advance into the final.
