Shooter Sarabjit Singh won a bronze medal in the Paris Olympics 2024, bringing pride to India. Sarabjot Singh, from Ambala district in Haryana, secured the bronze in the 10-meter mixed category alongside his partner Manu Bhaker. He defeated players from Korea and Mongolia. Mukhbayar Dorsuren, their coach, taught both Sarabjot Singh and Manu Bhaker the art of shooting. Sarabjit Singh has returned to India and received a grand welcome at Delhi airport. His family also surprised him with many celebrations at home.
After arriving home, Sarabjot Singh spoke to the media. When News24 journalist Divya Agarwal visited his house for an interview, he shared his experiences openly. Sarabjot explained how he prepared for the Olympics and the strategy he used to win the medal. He credited his coach, team, and family for his success. He also described what he was thinking as he competed in the Olympics.
Sarabjot Singh has strong ties to Chandigarh, as does his partner Manu Bhaker. Both are students at Chandigarh’s DAV College, which has produced many famous Indian athletes, including Yuvraj Singh, Kapil Dev, Neeraj Chopra, and Anjum Moudgil.
