Tokyo: Former world number 1 Saina Nehwal has bowed out of the ongoing BWF World Championships after losing her battler to Thai player B. Ongbamrungphan.
In the pre-quarterfinals, Nehwal had a rocky start as she lost her first set by 21-17. However, she bounced back in the second set by winning it by 21-16. But Ongbamrungphan did not give the Indian any more chance and won the third set by easy 21-13.

This the end of BWF World Championships campaign for Saina Nehwal who has won a silver and bronze medal in 2015 and 2017.
