SA vs PAK: The first match of the three-match series between South Africa and Pakistan would be played on December 17, 2024 at Boland Park in Paarl. The Proteas want to take that momentum in their triumph into the 50-over format as they concluded the T20I series winning 2-0 just recently.
Temba Bavuma, the skipper, will return to lead the South African side in the ODIs. Bavuma recently captained the team to victory in the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, which he did with great leadership and skill.
But at the same time, series significance has gained additional importance for both these teams aiming for the marquee Champion Trophy 2025; with both of them on the edge of complete stolidity, these games might also prove to be the very opportunity needed before Champion Trophy for two cricket teams full of talent and preparation for improvement in strategy for each to win.
